The Africa-EU Strategic Partnership, established in 2007 at the second Africa-EU Summit, is the overarching political framework guiding relations between the two continents.

It reflects the shared vision and commitment to work towards common goals of over 80 African and European countries, and a combined population of 1.5 billion citizens.
